The Entity

The phenomenon is all that which does not belong to being in the strict sense of the word, but the existence

of that is due to the existence of which is dependent. Lacking thus in itself substance phenomenon, however, also has its essence, that is constant predicates. Consequently, there is no opposition between appearance and essence, and between the appearance and the fact that exists, which serves as the primary source of the phenomenon, or, perhaps, between the essence of the

phenomenon and the essence of things. This feature of the concept of nature can be expressed briefly so that

the entity is a constant predicate logic required subject, but there is no need for the actual subject.
